Singapore, 7 September 2023 – Singapore Polytechnic (SP), Singapore’s first polytechnic, and Envision Digital, the global decarbonization software leader headquartered in Singapore, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance SP’s net zero and sustainability ambitions jointly. The partnership will promote data-driven technologies on campus and further sustainability training for students.
The announcement was made at BEX Asia, the premier built environment exhibition, in the presence of the Guest-of-Honor Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development & Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration.
Under this partnership, Envision Digital will explore the development of a Net Zero Campus for SP and a Net Zero Co-Innovation Lab with SP. Both facilities will be integral in advancing SP’s ambitious sustainability journey. The polytechnic aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2045 and empower its students through workforce upskilling, for a broader positive impact on industries.
The Net Zero Campus will see SP and Envision Digital collaborating to optimize energy efficiency and promote decarbonization for SP’s campus buildings through monitoring and analytics technology. Meanwhile, the Net Zero Co-innovation Lab will leverage Envision Digital’s proprietary AloT operating system, EnOSTM, to provide businesses and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) with the tools and knowledge to decarbonize their operations effectively. The lab will also offer net zero training opportunities for faculty members and students.
Additionally, Envision Digital will offer internship opportunities for SP students, and provide training for faculty members in developing curricula utilizing EnOSTM, among other solutions.
